Rubbing your pet's hair too hard will damage it. Therefore, towel dry it gently and thoroughly with a fluffy cloth before blow-drying. Next, blow dry it by hand with a lukewarm hairdryer and comb the hair carefully. Combing and brushing promotes blood circulation in the skin, stimulates the circulation and thus increases your dog's well-being.

We use various tools such as brushes and combs for grooming. After all, every breed has different grooming requirements - and we want to meet them. Incidentally, we avoid sharp-edged combs. Instead, we prefer natural hair brushes so as not to damage or roughen the hair unnecessarily.

During the treatment, the dogs wear comfortable ear protection. It reduces harmful noises for the dog's sensitive hearing and has a stress-reducing effect.

For smooth, stress-free shearing, correspondingly good equipment is indispensable. Our professional clippers are powerful, have a high cutting force and are almost silent.

Depending on the breed, we use different clippers for shearing or trimming - long, short and curved clippers, spike clippers, hand clippers, clip clippers and electric clippers with different clipping heads.

When trimming, dead topcoat is removed by plucking. This is particularly relevant for rough-haired breeds. And for some spaniel breeds with a softer hair structure. Most terriers, schnauzers, Bouvier das Flandres, rough-haired dachshunds and many others are also trimmed in this way.

By trimming, the colors of the dog's coat appear strong and it retains its important qualities without being falsely thinned.

Some dog breeds, such as the rough-haired dachshund, do not have a natural shedding pattern. To prevent skin irritation and eczema and to stimulate coat growth, regular trimming is necessary and recommended.

If you have a puppy of the above-mentioned breeds, it is best to prepare it for its first trimming with us in good time.

Many dog breeds have a lot of undercoat. This needs to be brushed out regularly with special brushes so that the skin can breathe healthily again and the coat can perform its natural protective function.

The following breeds should definitely be carded and the dense undercoat removed: Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Golden Retriever, Newfoundland, Pugs, all Nordic breeds such as Husky and Samoyed, Labrador, German Shepherd and Bernese Mountain Dog.
